We came to San Francisco to visit family and decided to go for a tour with Alegro. Our group consisted of 6 people, including children. We had such a lovely time. We live in Florida, so it was definitely a bit chilly for us, but we had a great hike and my children were amazed by the size of the sequoias. Pep is very knowledgeable and gave us a very comprehensive history lesson about the city. My children were too young to be bothered with this, so Pep was kind enough to take us to a playground where the kids could be free while we (the adults) continued to learn from her. I think this was very thoughtful of her and I appreciate that special touch. I also have to appreciate the fact that she gave us all completely water bottles. Great job Pep! Keep it up. Overall the tour was really great. I could write so much more! We will definitely be in touch when we come back to California! Thank you Alegro Tours!

We were 6 adults and so needed a larger car. We were set up with Effie in an immaculate Suburban. Effie was very knowledgeable, not only about SF but also restaurants in various parts of the city, and our other stops down to San Simeon. He was genuinely enthusiastic, and we got to see much and make a number of great photo stops. The 4 hours was perfect not to feel rushed.co

We started early with the tour as suggested by our very pleasant tour guide ,Pat,to avoid the traffic.It was educational and experiential.We only did not take beautiful pictures but we experienced passing by the golden gate and the crookedest street .Pat made us go down a very long stair walk which made us feel how it is to live in very steep hilly place.She introduced to us some of SFO’s icons like the young man who invented the .television and the lady who had the first breast implants.Not only were our eyes treated to the beautiful sceneries,our minds were also filled with so many trivias like the tallest building and the highest hill.Pat also made some suggestions as to where to eat and to buy touristy stuff.The big pleasant surprise,however,is George Lucas’movie complex.My son is a big Star Wars fan and he really enjoyed the Yoda fountain and the small museum of Lucas’ films.After the tour,Pat dropped us off to the endline of the cable car which we took to end our wonderful San Francisco city tour.Thanks Pat for being patient and for giving us a memorable tour.By the way,she also provided bottles of water and some snacks to keep us hydrated and to sustain our energy.

We’ve been to SFO a few times but this time was special. Pep is an outstanding guide, a wonderful human being, prepared and has a huge knowledge of the history of San Francisco.
She is very caring, attentive, friendly and she went the extra mile to provide us with the best experience possible in this magical city.
Thanks to her we learned a great deal and as a movie lover herself we had so much in common and to talk about while driving to our next spot.

Alegro Tour: The experience was very valuable. Pat, the tour guide, was knowledgeable, professional, and shared plethora of information with us. She even took pictures of us. Pep is an excellent, knowledgeable and professional tour guide I have ever used. We toured the city and loved the breathing taking views of San Francisco from Marin Headlands. That was the most memorable part of the trip. For dinner we went to Delfinas restaurant. That was the best pizza I've had in a long time. I highly recommend Pep if you are interested in learning the history of each location and want to understand the context of the historical events. I plan to return to San Francisco and will book a tour with Pep!

We had the unfortunate experience to deal with Pep from Alegro Tours and Trip Advisor. My family and I booked a tour with high hopes of creating lasting memories, but little did we know that our experience would turn into a nightmare.

Our scheduled tour coincided with a period of record-breaking flooding and relentless rain in the San Francisco area that lead to road closures. Understandably, it was impossible for us to make it to the tour location due to safety concerns and road closures. Given the extreme weather conditions, we reached out to Pep with Alegro Tours and Trip Advisor hoping for understanding and a simple resolution.
To our dismay, the response we received was far from empathetic or customer-focused. Both Pep and Trip Advisor flatly refused to issue any form of refund. It was disheartening to see that they prioritize profit over the safety and well-being of their customers.

The lack of flexibility and compassion displayed by Alegro Tours and Trip Advisor during this challenging situation is simply unacceptable. Any reputable company should recognize the exceptional circumstances that were beyond our control. We were left feeling frustrated, disappointed, and out of pocket for a service we never received.

I strongly caution anyone considering booking with them to think twice. A company that shows such little regard for its customers during unforeseen circumstances is not one that deserves your hard-earned money. There are countless other tour operators out there who prioritize customer satisfaction and safety over profit margins. Save yourself the headache and choose a company that values its customers and understands the concept of genuine customer service.

Our first visit to San Francisco was the most memorable! On New Year's Eve, we planned a last-minute day trip to the wine country and its surrounding including the Muir Woods. We found the perfect touring company: ALEGRO PRIVATE TOURS that had availability for a tour on New Year's Day. We booked online quickly and easily.
On the next day, Ms. Pep picked us up at our hotel right on time. From the beginning, she showed us great courtesy and helped us plan our customized itinerary for the day. She has extensive knowledge of the area and is an expert in the wine country. Thanks to her, our tour was a perfect and comfortable experience.

We had 2 magical days with Pep !
Day one we toured Silicon Valley,Monterey and Carmel.
So interesting to see Apple, Facebook and Google.
Then on to Monterey and Carmel. We did Big Sur , then the 17 mile drive passing Pebble Beach stopping for numerous photos taken by Pep.
It was an unforgettable day.
Day 2 San Francisco and Sausalito.
We did a complete city tour then went over the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito where we had lunch overlooking the water.
We were able to see so many sights during our private tours that the big tour busses would not be able to get close to.
We returned to our ship in plenty of time for our sailing.
Highly recommend Pep and Alegro Tours ..

Wow! Where to begin? We've just come back having enjoyed an amazing first visit to San Francisco. Pep was amazing, patient during the booking process despite my myriad of questions, extremely knowledgeable about San Francisco with so many titbits of information shared as we travelled around, and so calm and relaxed during the time we spent together. San Francisco was amazing but San Francisco as introduced by Pep was on another level.
One word of advice, don't assume you just want to book a tour of San Francisco and leave it to Pep to decide where to go. Think about it first, as there are so many places to visit and unless you narrow them down then you'll leave her with an impossible task. If you do it's worth the investment of time and you'll enjoy, as we just have, an outstanding precious memory to treasure for years to come.

I wish I could leave 10 stars for this experience. We were in San Francisco for only a few days for a conference. Pep picked us up directly from our hotel and was more than accommodating in allowing us to tour San Francisco on our drive to Napa/Sonoma. She is extremely knowledgeable and taught us all we needed to know about wine, making wine, and the Bay area. This was a very wonderful value for the experience.
